Essential Functions

  • Work with business and HR leaders to ensure global processes are utilized effectively in the Unit / Cluster to ensure internal equity, external market competitiveness and drive employee engagement and productivity.
  • Ensure that local employee benefit, retirement and well-being approaches are aligned with total reward and performance management philosophies, are adjusted to ensure relevance in the local market and are compliant with all relevant regulations, laws and employment standards.
  • Proposes the design and costing of Group Health and Welfare Plans for the US and Canada including Medical Dental, Life Insurance, AD&D, and Flexible Spending Accounts.
  • Also oversees other benefits including Tax and Financial Planning and Executive Medical Plans and all Voluntary Benefit Plans.
  • Design local well being plans for US and Canada with a focus on physical, mental, social and financial wellness.
  • Partner with global well-being colleague to adapt global strategies, tools and resources locally.
  • Manage retirement plans including defined contribution and defined benefit plans ensuring that plans are aligned to global policies including making recommendations on plan design changes that balance the best interest of the employee and .
  • Partner with local retirement committees informing and educating on matters relevant to the successful operation of all plans.
  • Partners with external investment advisors, actuaries and consultants regarding the financial health of plans.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure accurate accrual of benefit programs.
