Sr. Payroll & Benefits Analyst LOC;Spartanburg, SC

Budget $: 100,000 - 200,000

Duties and Responsibilities:

Analyze, compute, enter, review, edit and document transactions related to wages, deductions and taxes to include but not limited to: New hires, Salary changes, Transfers, Employee Changes and Terminations for both hourly and salaried employees

Transmission of payroll files

  • Review and audit of payroll reports for accuracy, validity, and reasonableness
  • Partner with other Analysts to track and justify payroll adjustments and payments; reconcile Wage Deduction Order amounts withheld; validate tip and service charge being paid
  • Perform moderate to complex level troubleshooting and advanced analysis & research related to payroll and benefit processing
  • Perform File transfers for benefit reporting
  • Manages all administrative processes related to benefits including but not limited to, benefit enrollment/changes, employee premium withholdings, invoice reconciliation and payment, other relevant processing requirements
  • Serves as primary liaison between employees and benefit providers. Handles benefit inquiries and issues to ensure quick response and timely resolution.
  • Oversees and maintains data collection for benefit analysis

RequirementsQualifications:

  • 5 or more years of significant Payroll and/or employee benefit plan experience
  • Bachelor??s Degree in Accounting, Business, or Human Resources
  • Multi-state, multi-location, work experience utilizing Ultimate Software products or comparable payroll, HRIS and time management systems

Competencies:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Analytical and Problem solving skills ? strong data analytics; reporting and interpretation of data extracted are required
  • Interpersonal skills ? Maintains confidentiality and is a team player. Uses diplomacy and discretion when dealing with sensitive employee payroll and benefit matters
  • Oral and written communication â?? Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations. Highly skilled in customer service concepts with proven experience in working among cross-functional environments. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in oral and written form
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality with excellent attention to detail
  • Adaptability?? the individual adapts to changes in the work environment and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events to meet critical deadlines
  • Dependability ?? the individual follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance
