Essential Functions

  • Serves as the lead member of the benefits/compensation team Supports the Director of Benefits and Compensation (DBC) as directed, providing creative problem solving and proactive efforts to improve processes, reduce costs and increase the positive impact our benefits and compensation programs should have on employee engagement Serves as a subject matter expert on the benefit programs (including but not limited to insurance, retirement, time off and leaves, external discount programs, etc.)
  • May serve as a liaison between our benefits vendors and Continually assesses how we may improve the end-users (i.e. current employees and future employees)
  • Experience with the benefits offered at Serves as a subject matter expert on the technical aspects of benefits, compensation, time off and leaves of absence, as it relates to our HRIS system as well as external systems.
  • Takes the lead and/or assists with designing and building effective processes within our HRIS system to meet the needs of our internal and external customers Acts as a resource for HR Directors in the field, by providing benefits and compensation expertise and support, as needed for more complex questions and issues; Provides direct customer service to employees as needed Manages benefits/compensation procedures, which may include our annual benefits enrollment, merit increases, deductible reimbursement and voluntary benefits process, etc.
  • Assists with designing and delivering training and education, and coordinating-wide communications, per the direction of the DBC Performs and/or assists with recurring benefit and compensation audits, including but not limited to invoice reconciliation and general reviews of data integrity Completes and/or assists with legally-mandated (federal, state and local) reporting and mailings, including but not limited to formal notices, 5500 statements and ACA-related reporting Assists with developing and maintaining written and electronic materials, documents and records for benefit programs.
  • Assists with developing and maintaining relevant information and resources for the benefits website Supports the DBC by assisting with the collection of market data related to compensation Provides ongoing reporting and metrics on benefits and compensation at Oversees the development and maintenance of written and electronic materials and documents for benefit programs, including annual enrollment and new employee orientation.
  • Develops and maintains benefit information and resources for employees through the online systems Monitors and assists with the evaluation of the performance of our benefits vendors and appropriately reports any issues or concerns to the DBC; Participates in compensation/benefits surveys Stays abreast of current market information, trends and data to provide information and recommendations on benefit programs and utilization, including ensuring that all employee benefits programs are compliant with legal requirements
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelors degree required; Bachelors Degree in Human Resources preferred 3 years of experience in, and knowledge of, benefits Previous experience working with compensation preferred Strong computer skills; and creating reports for analysis and utilization Strong verbal, written and presentation skills Strong computation skills and attention to detail
Other Qualifications

  • Requires drivers of licensed company vehicles and those using their own vehicles for business purposes have the appropriate drivers license, insurance coverage, and meet the auto liability carriers drivers criteria.
