Budget $: 100,000 - 200,000

The Senior Benefits Analyst will support the Sr Manager in development of new programs, process improvements and other initiatives. This role will collaborate with the Benefits Team on the planning, design, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of comprehensive health and welfare programs.


Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities


· Assist in execution of annual Health & Welfare renewals, Open Enrollment and Year End activities.

· Monitors and assists with support of administration of day to day benefit activities for all health and welfare benefit programs such as time off, savings account, medical/rx, disability.

· Researches and provides solution recommendation to escalated benefits issues involving third party administrator, payroll and Workday HRIS teams.

· Identifies, researches, initiates and implements opportunities for process improvement.

· Develops internal controls and audits while working with internal and external partners to provide solution.

· Verify benefit billing and invoice statements for accuracy and partnering with Finance department to ensure timely payments.

· Assist in tracking benefit costs, preparing benefit cost analysis, summarizing employee benefits data and trends and provides management with planning and control.

· Assist in preparation and on-going audits for annual compliance filings such as ACA, 5500, PCORI.

· Reviews and updates Plan Documents and Summary Plan Descriptions, enrollment packets, new hire orientation, open enrollment materials, policies and ongoing educational materials.

· Maintains and develops relationships with internal partners, third party administrators and other vendors.

Assist with developing benefits delivery branding, design, and utilization of communication tools to increase awareness of the benefit offerings, including intranet pages, creative email, and other communication campaigns.



Qualifications



· Solid understanding of health benefit plan principles and compliance requirements.

· Intermediate Excel skills (v-lookup, pivot table etc).

· Workday experience a plus.

· Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative within established guidelines.

· Works well and collaborates with others in a team environment.

· Demonstrate a sense of urgency, strong time-management and prioritization skills.

· The ability to effectively manage sensitive and confidential information.

· Excellent written, verbal, listening capabilities and attention to detail.
