Role: HRIS Functional Manager Location: Louisville,KY JOB FUNCTIONS: The role will involve understanding Company ERP interdependencies and HR global processes and having a deep knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM. Strategy & Leadership Lead team designing, configuring, and implementing PeopleSoft HCM solutions for HR , Compensation, Talent Management, Performance Management, ESS/MSS Identify, assess and solve complex business problems including scope definition and agreement with business partners and other stakeholders. Act as an internal consultant to the business by gathering, organizing and verifying concerns, outlining proposed solutions, estimating the impact on time, labor and financial resources and articulating the business ramifications in both the current and planned HCM environments. Follow strategic direction set by senior managers to prioritize work and develop short term and long term roadmap and strategy for Global PeopleSoft Identify system improvement opportunities as well as functional process changes to minimize system complexity and optimize efficiency of the various Human Resource Systems applications. Research, recommend, and implement system enhancements Assess project risks and take appropriate action Lead PeopleSoft upgrade project and schedule attainment, both from a configuration of new modules & functionality, testing, as well as workflow and process redesign standpoint. When HR processes or requirements change, translate the need into a proposed solution, anticipate technical or process challenges, and participate in the realization of the solution through the coordination of internal and external resources. System Support Liaise between HR and IT to research, design, and execute solutions that meet the emerging needs of managing HR processes. Partner with vendors on system, support, and contracts Manage overall HR Information System projects. Utilize functional experts, end users, internal IT staff, and external HR Systems support functions to ensure processes are in control and systems provide accurate information to internal and external customers. Ensure all parts of project are documented and communicated such as requirements, design, development, testing, implementation, project plans, policies, procedures, new standards, status and training. Evaluate change controls provided by Human Resource Information Systems vendor and costs associated with these for reasonableness. Research, analyze and resolve problems relating to internal Human Resources processes and procedures and/or external business partners. Re-engineer business processes, when necessary Desired Skills and Experience EDUCATION: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience EXPERIENCE (and other qualifications): Experience with PeopleSoft Human Capital Management; Preferably Version 9.1; knowledge of PeopleSoft 8 and 9.2 a plus. Experience as a functional technology specialist Experience working with Non-US Businesses Project/Program Leadership and/or Operations Management in Human Resources Assessing customer needs and translating technical parameters into user friendly terminology for HR clients Developing, verifying and writing business and functional requirements, configuration, work flow analyses, test plans and test scripts Designing and maintaining sustainable business processes, including documentation Testing and certifying integrity of automated solutions and programs This person must have excellent business/system process skills, exceptional problem solving skills, and be able to clearly articulate solutions to end users. Ability to interact effectively with and influence executive leaders A strong sense of urgency, action-orientation, drive for results and pragmatism Proven ability to manage in a project team environment; experience managing multiple projects, deadlines and balance multiple changing deadlines and priorities to meet commitments. Must be able to travel 20%+ of year in US/International
