Summary
  • The Hyperion Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing and maintaining the Oracle EPM based Enterprise Performance Management Applications: EPMA, Essbase, Financial Reporting, Foundation Services, HFM, HSF, FDMEE, Hyperion Planning {Multicurrency & Workforce} and Smart View, to ensure optimum performance and integrity of the EPM Financial Systems.
  • This role will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and support of all EPM (Hyperion) applications and systems.
  • In addition to the EPM support responsibilities, the EPM Financial Systems Analyst will be assigned additional projects in support of the Accounting Systems and processes used .
  • The analyst is responsible for supporting the Accounting teams in the implementation of new functionality, maintenance and upgrade of the EPM Financial Systems.
  • The Analyst works directly with the Hyperion Financial Applications Manager and Accounting teams to analyze business needs, document requirements and translate findings into proper system requirement specifications.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide backup business oriented support for EPM Financial Systems and supporting processes.Main point of contact for end-user support of Financial Reporting, HFM, and Smart View.
  • Work closely with the Hyperion Financial Applications Manager and Accounting teams to develop and conduct ongoing Essbase, Financial Reporting, HFM, Hyperion Planning and Smart View Training to support business units.
  • Assist accounting team with the Creation/maintenance of reports as needed to ensure reports are standardized and developed for optimum performance and data integrity.
  • Create forms in HFM and Hyperion Planning to assist with the entering of additional data that is not stored in an existing systems.
  • Maintain metadata within the EPMA Shared Dimension Library for Essbase, HFM and Hyperion Planning.
  • Obtains and archives all approvals for metadata changes to comply with audit and SOX requirements.
  • Create/Maintain/Run eliminations & consolidations in HFM and full calculations within Hyperion Planning.
  • Load/maintain currency rate data in HFM and Hyperion Planning.
  • Supports the Accounting Month End Close in EPM Financial Systems, and assists with reconciliations as needed.
  • Work as a partner with other members of EPM Financial Systems/Functional Team to optimize EPM Financial Systems performance and output.
  • Monitor and improve process controls for EPM Financial Systems.
  • Work closely with the IT department to maintain end-user security for the EPM Financial Systems.
  • Support ongoing financial processes such as annual budgeting, forecasting, closing, analysis reporting, etc.
  • Analyze, design and impact assessment of business & configuration changes including data & metadata management on available business models.
  • Support continuous application process optimizations.
  • Meet service commitments for assigned deliverables and proactively provide work status.
  • Organize and prepare work effectively to facilitate proactive resolution of problems, rather than reactive.
  • Anticipate, identify, track and resolve issues and risks affecting the applications.
  • Work closely with the IT Department, Oracle Support and external consultants to troubleshoot both workstation and infrastructure related issues that may arise.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education And/or Experience
  • Bachelor s Degree in Business/Finance/Accounting or related field.
  • Strong ability to understand finance and accounting principles.Working knowledge of Great Plains Dynamics or similar ERP software.
  • Experience with HFM: including Financial Report writing, dimension hierarchy creation and management, CTA calculations and intercompany eliminations required.
  • Experience using Hyperion FDM/FDMEE with a good understanding of creating and maintaining Entity, Account, ICP and other data mappings as needed.
  • Proficiency with Hyperion Smartview Excel Add-in.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word.
