Job DescriptionHyperion Essbase Developer Summary:
- Signature Consultants is looking for a Hyperion Essbase Developer to work on a long-term contract position for one of our biggest clients located in the Boca Raton area.
- The ideal candidate will be doing Hyperion development within the Hyperion Essbase planning application which is already in place.
- He or She will be interacting with business side to understand the business needs and make changes within the application accordingly.
- They will be performing design and development (both new implementations/new functionality as well as ongoing support), of our client\'s Hyperion Platform Suite.
- This position requires hands-on expertise in development and administration to ensure the applications remain aligned with business requirements and also offers recommendations and best practices for process integration, application development, and ongoing enhancements
- Must have at least 10+ years experience in IT and systems support.
- Minimum 5 years of experience and expert knowledge in working with the Oracle/Hyperion EPM platform, Essbase, Essbase Studio, Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Financial Reports, Hyperion Analyzer, Essbase Integration Services, Essbase Administration Services, Business Rules, ESSCMD, MaxL, Essbase Excel add-in, SmartView, Web analysis, Workspace, and Shared Service Console Security.
- Expertise in BSO and ASO design of Essbase cubes.
- Strong knowledge on cube partitioning, database backups, Dense/Sparse settings, ESSCMD scripts, MaxL scripts, Essbase calculations scripts, Optimization of Essbase cubes, Windows/Unix scripts for e-mail notifications/alerts etc.
- Proficient in Batch Scripting, UNIX Shell Scripting, C++ Programming, Excel VBA coding, PL/SQL Scripting, Software Installation, System Upgrade and Server Maintenance, Application and Data back-ups and Security.
- Proficient in VBA API in Essbase, Visual Basic for Application (VBA), Essbase Query Designer under Windows and UNIX environments.
