Main Duties & ResponsibilitiesÃ
- Ensure proper consolidations and eliminations within the Hyperion environment.
- Prepare and analyze trial balances and assist in account rollforwards as necessary.
- Prepare and analyze closing journal entries and ensure proper accounting.
- Assist with semi-annual financial statement audits.
- Perform day-to-day tasks associated with Hyperion, including changes or modifications to calculation scripts, business rules, account metadata, and entity structures.
- Provide end user support to troubleshoot issues with Hyperion. Provide guidance to team on best practice, training and process.
- Install client software (Smart View, Financial Reporting Studio, etc.) on user machines.
- Provide input into process improvement initiatives.
- Develop a strong understanding of the flow of financial information and related processes to recommend solutions as issues arise.
- Support for reporting within Hyperion, including Smartview tool and development of new reports and modification of existing reports using Financial Reporting Studio.
- Ensure that regular backups are completed successfully and that all services are running and the applications are available for users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical and data solution issues (i.e. performance and data-related issues, user authentication and user authorization etc.) Migrate objects and applications between Test and Production environments. Perform periodic security audits.
- Assist financial reporting team with report preparation and support as necessary.
- Perform other duties as required/assigned by manager. Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications Finance or IT degree strongly preferred or relevant industry experience5+ years of relevant Hyperion experience strongly required Strong accounting background and understanding of accounting principlesFinancial consolidation knowledge or background required Financial reporting experience recommended. SEC experience a plus.
