Job description: Title: Senior Hyperion Essbase Administrator Locations: Omaha / Ann Arbor / Columbia Length: 6 Months Job Duties & Responsibilities: Role: The Essbase Administrator will be responsible for the development and maintenance of Essbase This role works with various infrastructure and Functional teams to maintain and improve the overall effectiveness of the application and partners with the business users in order to understand their needs to provide reliable solutions. This person will provide technical vision surrounding Hyperion projects related to the needs of the business. Responsibilities: Support existing Essbase application including analysis, troubleshooting application behaviors and data related to identify the root cause, document findings and execute fixes. Work with Infrastructure team in identifying and resolving environment issues. (database, OS, network, security, etc) Lead Essbase by Collaborating with business partners to identify issues or possible enhancements. Participate in projects and initiatives related to Essbase and Hyperion Applications as a subject matter expert in partnership with the business. Communicate changes, enhancement and modifications verbally or through written documentation to all levels of the firm. Prepare documentation where necessary, including training, process flows and system structure. Work with Infrastructure team in identifying and resolving environment issues. (database, OS, network, security, etc. Optimize Essbase cubes Required Skills: 3+ years technical experience supporting Essbase & Smart View, preferably in a Systems Administrator role. 2+ years writing, maintaining and troubleshooting Essbase business rules, MaxL, batch processes and calculation scripts. Strong experience overseeing the design, development and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems and products. Experience with application development life cycle process, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, training and go live. Familiarity with accounting and financial reporting requirements as well as ERP related systems and concepts. Strong analytical skills with excellent problem solving skills and sound decision making. Experience operating in an Agile environment a plus. Experience with upgrading, patching and scaling out environments to support new modules. Ability to maintain and execute existing backup and restore procedures.
