THE JOB AT A GLANCEReporting to the Process and Systems Manager, the Process Analyst will be responsible for supporting RMA business units across the Group by mapping operational processes and documenting operating manuals for the execution of operational activities and duties, recommending areas for improvement in processes to reduce cycle times, improve productivity, create capacity, and improve process reliability and customer satisfaction. WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Business Process Design and Improvement:Interact with product and business owners to conduct business process needs analysis to understand process requirements, inputs, handoffs, and outputs of the processes.
  • Facilitate process design workshops with participants from processing areas andprocess owners.
  • Map the processes using RMA??s approved mapping standards (BPMN), including facilitating, designing, and documenting process decomposition diagrams, defining and documenting processes to cover the total lifecycle of the product or service covered.
  • Review process maps to ensure that all regulatory, compliance and operational.risk control elements are incorporated and highlighted.
  • Documentation of Standard Operating Procedures, Technical Instructions, and other Supporting DocumentsDevelop and maintain operational Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures and Technical Instructions and supporting material including job aids and reference guides, in line with operational requirements, according to RMA Group process standards, tools and supporting methodologies in support of business unit service offering.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert on the content of the manuals, processes, and procedures by providing information to business units to clarify requirements.
  • Check and ensure alignment of procedure documentation, technical instructions and quick reference guides and other supporting material to policies, processes, and procedures for consistency in the messaging.
  • Establish and Maintain Process Architecture in line with Business Operating ModelAlign processes to the RMA Process Architecture defined in line with business operating model, by defining decomposition levels across business areas.
  • Define process hierarchies across the Group, translating those into Group operational value chains to ensure alignment and seamless synergies between and across the teams, across the Group.
  • Establish RMA Process Taxonomy by defining process classification, and review periods, to meet operational, compliance, risk, and quality management requirements.
  • Project ManagementProvide project process support during the design and implementation of small enhancements and transformational change projects by managing impact to interfaced processes, business operations and service delivery to clients.
  • Participate in project meetings led by Project Managers to contribute to new process design, ensuring that business process owners approve changes prior to implementation.
  • Provide guidance in terms of process standards, tools and methodology to external stakeholders or consultants during projects and initiatives where process mapping will be conducted.
  • Support Training and DevelopmentEnsure alignment of published documents to training material by interaction with learning and development team for the creation of training material for approved published operating documentation.Identify impact of process changes on job descriptions of staff that execute the work within the processes and recommend training requirements to bridge the gap.
  • Maintain alignment with QA to identify where deviation from SOP has taken place, and conduct root cause analysis, to propose training requirements where necessary, for continual improvement.
  • ReportingUse appropriate templates and channels to report on progress on a weekly and monthly basis, in line with the QA Framework and Governance structures agreed.
Requirements:WHAT YOU\'LL BRING TO THE TABLE?

  • NQF Level 7: Degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering or related.
  • 5 years?? relevant work experience.
  • Sound proven experience in the mapping of business processes.
  • Good understanding of insurance and financial systems and technologies.
  • Learning ability for new products, systems applications, and technologies
