Required Skills Technical Extend the use of the Hyperion application suite for the management and finance staff through continual enhancement and development. Prioritizing projects, developing reports, implementing dashboard solutions and coordinating projects around the platform. Support Hyperion system implementations, enhancements and upgrades; assist with technical infrastructure issues. Standardize data naming, establish consistent data definitions, monitoring/auditing the data quality to ensure data is clean and credible to support operational and strategic decision making. Identify, analyze and report/resolve data issues related to uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency and completeness and work with business units to triage, track, communicate, mitigate and resolve issues. Develop Hyperion forms, business rules, and calculation scripts. Create and augment Essbase cubes. Develop dynamic reports using Hyperion Reporting tools that present results based on metadata rather than hardcoding. Requirements Gathering & Analysis Document detailed business requirements including system flow charts, data flow diagrams, application interfaces, data mappings and process flows. Gain approval of business requirements from the key stakeholders. Write functional specifications, application gap analysis, non-functional requirements and recommend solutions to address approved business requirements. Design system related controls, applications and reporting solutions that align to the enterprise architecture. Develop, test and implement solutions to meet business requirements approved by internal stakeholders (i.e. updates/changes and net-new implementations).Create operational support documentation and user guides for support provided to the business or other parts of IT. Translate project objectives and high level requirements into detailed system requirements and/or use cases. Analyze implications of requested new or enhanced application functionality and provide feedback. Project Management Lead business analysis activities in a project oriented environment and provide regular status reports. Participate in and/or lead project activities, as required. Work closely with the assigned Project Manager, to ensure that the project plans, timelines and budget are being met. Ensure that all projects and requests adhere to the companys SDLC and project approach. Support Provide support for the Hyperion applications, including managing support escalations, troubleshoot and close escalated support tickets. Support month end tasks for Hyperion planning and reporting. Create, format and deliver ad-hoc reports/queries to operational users and/or finance and accounting controllers. Plan and coordinate application migrations from test to production environments. Develop and deliver training for new and existing application users. Create formal system change requests and facilitate delivery of all production system updates through the change management process. Required Experience Minimum of 8 years of experience with Hyperion system applications/infrastructure/reporting tools (Hyperion Planning; Hyperion forms, business rules, MAXL scripts and VB scripts; creating & augmenting Essbase cubes, report development using Hyperion Reporting tools, Hyperion Smart View). Post-secondary degree or Diploma in Business, Accounting, IT, or other related discipline. Working knowledge of Hyperion infrastructure and applications (e.g., Hyperion outlines, restructuring of databases, loading data and metadata, writing and modifying scripts, workspace and shared services). Hyperion security and user configuration. Upgrading Hyperion platforms/modules through different versions. Proven experience in translating business requirements into creative functional and technical specifications. Knowledge of JD Edwards financial systems (i.e. A/P, A/R, G/L, F/A, Cash Management). Proven skills in eliciting and documenting user requirements, analyzing requirements, testing, and making suggestions for business process improvements. Advanced analytical skills in gathering system requirements, logical data & process modeling, use case modeling, work flow modeling. Self-starter and highly motivated to achieve results. Propensity to innovate and challenge the status quo. Maturity of judgment and on-demand decision making to resolve problems without delay and/or to seek support when required.
