Role: Sr Essbase/Hyperion Developer
Location: Santa Ana, CA
- Able to develop application from scratch Planning and Essbase (BSO and ASO)Work on multi-currency planning application
- Capture and review business requirements and functional specifications with businessDocumented the technical design and detail design document and other project related documents
- Challenge existing processes and recommend change where needed to add value and help reduce on-going maintenanceWork with EPM, BI, Data Warehouse, and Oracle team to deliver enterprise level solutionsConvert ASO formula to BSO and vice versa
- Support testing and production deploymentsHelp develop complex items related to calculations, rules, queries or other itemsWork with diverse and geographically dispersed groups to deliver the solution
- Bachelors degree5+ years of development leadership experience
- Experience developing technical design and documentationMust have at least 2 Hyperion implementations
- Experience designing and automating EPM solutions
- Hands on working experience with Planning, Essbase, FDMEE and EPMAAdvanced knowledge of Hyperion Planning (business rules, integration, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of Hyperion Essbase (ASO, BSO, Calculation Scripts, Rules, MDX)
- Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management / HFM (business rules, integration, etc.)
- Knowledge of Oracle Hyperion tools like FDMEE, DRM, ODI, EPMA, Essbase Studioknowledge of relational databases and data modeling
- Experience developing automation scripts (shell, batch, VBS, PowerShell)
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and good oral and written communication
- Strong project management skills and SDLCAble to troubleshoot issues and come up with a solution
- Good to have prior experience in finance or operations roleSelf-motivated and eager to learn and further develop in technical skillsBachelors degree5+ years of development leadership experience
