Role: PeopleSoft Application Analyst Location: Hattiesburg,MS Duties and Responsibilities: Adheres to University and department policies, procedures and regulations and actively contributes to student success and retention Works with the EAP Operations Manager on project tasks, to include scheduling, communicating and maintaining documentation Works with PeopleSoft functional leads and/or the department's technical lead to evaluate current delivered, but unused, functionality to enhance opportunities or improve methods of satisfying the university business requirements Networks with other PeopleSoft institutions and higher education user groups to determine best practices for the university in relation to PeopleSoft Evaluates upcoming releases and patches to determine the impact that those changes may have on existing business operations with emphasis on areas that are customized in PeopleSoft, and in consideration of all enterprise applications that rely on data coming from or going to PeopleSoft Maintains a current list of university enterprise system contacts and attends necessary meetings to ensure new software solutions are added to the list as new projects surface Constructs and maintains an inventory of customized PeopleSoft items, to include the purpose for the customization, weakness if any of the delivered functionality, and the reason the customization is required Provides assistance to functional departments that utilizes the PeopleTools Testing Framework by making security access requests, conducting training as needed, and providing follow-up support Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field of study and a minimum of three years of related experience Related experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year to year basis. Working after-hours contact number or messaging service for emergency purposes
