Role: Sr. Programmer Analyst (people soft)
Location: West Monroe Street , Chicago, IL
Job Purpose:
- Execute all aspects of development life cycle for company People Soft Financials and Supply chain applications including support, enhancements, new development, and implementation of delivered functionality.
- Key Account abilities: Develops and documents new solutions for company People Soft Financials and Supply Chain applications including pages, interfaces, database tables, batch programs and reports.
- Participates in business analysis and requirements gathering with the end user communityServes as a key resource in system testing and debugging, ensuring that all system changes are adequately unit tested prior to turning them over to the user community.
- Provides application support including system/batch monitoring and processing, handling user questions and queries, investigating and solving system problems, and providing on-call support services.
- Support other non-ERP related applications as appropriateAssist with Mentoring and Training of less experienced team members.
Required Skills:
- BA/BS in Computer Science or similar discipline, or equivalent education and/or experienceFunctional and technical knowledge of People Soft Distribution, Financials, and Manufacturing, and how it applies to company businessKnowledge of Order Management, Billing, Inventory, Manufacturing, and Hyperion are strong pluses.
- Experience working with People Tools, People Code, SQL, SQR, Application Engineer and Crystal Report developmentFunctional knowledge of company business and operationsStrong written and oral communications skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize projectsAbility to perform several tasks simultaneously to meet project deadlines.
- Above average attention to detailAbility to work as part of a teamCan-do mindsetWork is performed primarily in the corporate office environment.
