Payroll Specialist LOC;Greater San Diego Area

Budget $: 100,000 - 200,000

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process full payroll cycles for 500+ employees on a bi-weekly basis for exempt and non-exempt employees.
  • Responsible for time sheet tracking analysis; including provide reports and direction on unmatched punch resolutions.
  • Process new hires and terminations including final check calculation.
  • Reviews wage calculations and audit reports for accuracy and makes necessary adjustments/corrections.
  • Maintain, calculate and process all withholding orders such as garnishments and tax levies in ADP payroll system.
  • Process and maintains tax forms, direct deposit, and personnel changes in payroll.
  • Ensure compliance to payroll and payroll tax laws.
  • Compiles financial, tax and payroll reports for both internal and external customers.
  • Prepare reconciliations for payroll general ledger accounts and assist Accounting with payroll related invoices.
  • Researches, analyzes and resolves payroll-related problems or questions.
  • Recommends or participates in the development of new procedures and policies related to payroll operations utilizing knowledge of , state and federal policies and regulations.
  • Reconcile, process year end annual W-2 forms.
  • Train new employees/managers on time & attendance and time off requests within ADP Workforce Now.
  • Assist with processing Employee Stock Option via online stock system.
  • Assist with 401(k) and Workersâ?? Compensation audits.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelora??s Degree or Payroll Certified Preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive payroll or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years processing payroll using ADP Workforce Now & EzLabor Time & Attendance required.
  • Multi-State payroll experience required

Strong communication skills.

  • Must be able to handle a wide work variety and work in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be a detail-oriented, organized, self-starter, and have an ability to prioritize workload.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and confidence in working with large sets of data.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and solve practical problems.
