SAP Payroll SAP Functional Analyst, Loc: TN Long Term

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as configuration design specialist to support Client’s implementation of SAP.  Primary area of responsibility is SAP Payroll. 
  • Act as primary customer support contact for customers and liaison with Information Technology Services Division in assigned functional areas.
  • Consult with managers, business process owners, subject matter experts, system super users, and end users concerning business needs and solutions. 
  • Benchmark industry, suppliers, association, and other agencies concerning best practices.  Advise organizational leaders regarding change management practices.
  • Create business process documents, flow charts, and decision-making documents.  Understand and document user requirements. 
  • Develop and propose solutions, including system configurations, to meet business process needs and requirements.  Proposals include writing business cases, identifying requirements, completing gap analyses, researching technical and functional solutions, and converting customer requirements into technical specifications.
  • Document and test system configurations, enhancements, and customizations.
  • Identify and initiate process efficiencies to improve existing business processes.
  • Monitor and apply regulatory and legal changes that affect business processes and system functionality.
  • Provide expertise on system configuration and functionality for upgrades, maintenance, and enhancements.
  • Initiate and lead design and testing of reports, interfaces, forms, and conversions.  Perform validation and reconciliation of data conversions.
  • Design/recommend reports and write data queries.  Analyze reports and identify specifications.
  • Utilize business intelligence tools to define, develop, and maintain data reports, dashboards, charts, etc.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and lead system demonstrations. 
  • Audit and assess validity of data in the Client business systems.  Recommend system and business process changes to maintain or to increase data integrity.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, with an emphasis in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other business-related area.
  • 8 years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • SAP Ariba configuration and implementation experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and support multiple business areas. 
  • Business management skills, written and oral communication skills, analytical skills, negotiating skills, and project management skills.
  • The successful candidate must work well in a team environment and be highly motivated.

 

Preferred Qualifications:   

  • Experience with collective bargaining agreements/unions. 
  • User experience with SAP Financial Accounting/General Ledger and SAP HR master data.
  • SAP configuration experience in one or more of the following modules desired:  Financial Accounting,Controlling. 
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA.

Key Skills:
