Job description

  • This position will provide project management support while ensuring data integrity, effective test plans,, report writing and analyzing data flows for all other HR technology process improvement opportunities.
  • The HRIS senior analyst also supports HRMS/HCM upgrades, patches, testing and other technical project components as required by the IT organization.

  • Manages projects/process improvement, including applying change management experience to facilitate movement to new levels of quality.
  • Identifies and understands issues, problems and opportunities and can articulate the details at both a technical and business level.

  • Recommends process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy, which must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation.
  • Understands and uses qualitative/quantitative measurement and data collection design principles.
  • Performs system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing and implementation of HRMS system upgrades or patches.
  • Collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix.
  • Maintains HRMS system tables.
  • Documents process and results.
  • Provides production support, including researching and resolving HRMS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
  • Generates reports/queries, including writing maintaining and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools.
  • Assists in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs.
  • Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
  • Conducts training, including developing user procedures, guidelines and documentation.
  • Trains clients on new processes/functionality. Trains new system users.
  • Maintains awareness of current trends in HRMS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies.
  • Examines trends in information systems training, materials and techniques.
  • Through classes, reading, CBTs or other mechanisms, continuously increases both HR knowledge and HRIS application/tools knowledge. Participates in user group meetings/conferences.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
  • Technical EnvironmentOn premise ERP - Peoplesoft version 9.1 employed for HR, Finance and Payroll.
  • These are functioning from a common shared Oracle database.
  • The upgrade to version 9.2 will occur in early 2017.
  • Other interfaced systems include various products form Oracle, IBM, Willis Towers Watson (Benefits) and others.
  • Some of our operational solutions such as elements of Employee & Manager Self- Service have been developed internally using People tools.
  • Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment.
  • This role routinely uses standard office and computer equipment.

  • Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position, and days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • TravelNo consistent travel is expected for this position. An occasional domestic overnight trip to other corporate facilities might be necessary.
Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years of hands-on experience with Peoplesoft (or like HRIS/HCM) in a similar role.
  • Preferred Education and ExperienceRetail experience is desirable.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • Demonstrated implementation leadership of system modules such as: Applicant Tracking, Talent Management, E-Learning, Time Management, Compensation Planning, Benefits Administration and all aspects Retail Operational improvement.
