Peopleosft Functional Analyst Location: Herndon, VA

Role: People Soft Academic Analyst
Location: Herndon, VA
Essential Duties:
  • Act as Functional lead/SME supporting People Soft systems.
  • Leverage People Soft implementation and Higher Education business process experience to lead the on-going support and maintenance of People Soft modules.
  • Lead overall functional requirements and gap analysis of new project requests which also includes creation of functional specifications for new development work.
  • Responsible for successful completion of project goals and milestones.
  • Complete configuration and functional set-ups in People Soft Campus Solutions modules.
  • Complete tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with other implementation team leads to optimize overall implementation.
  • Lead review and testing of People Soft bundles including working with end users on new functionality and determine effect on current enhancements/modifications.
  • Assist the technical team with testing of new enhancements/modifications.
Education:
  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience Certificates, licenses and registrations: None Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a business operations manager, project manager, consultant and/or business analyst with an information technology background.
  • 3+ years experience of delivering enterprise information technology solutions.
  • 2+ years experience in the higher education industry.
Skills:
  • Functional leadership/SME experience in a People Soft implementation project.
  • Knowledge of University business operations particularly in the student business areas such as Faculty, Academic Advising, Course Scheduling, Attendance, and Program/Plan.
  • Functional experience in People Soft Campus Solutions Student Financials module with experience in configuration and functional set-ups is highly preferred.
  • Experience in data analysis and ability to create SQL queries is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to think outside the box.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to frame decisions based on key organizational metrics such as business impact, ROI, etc.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and quality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
