PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and perform research activities with the goal of creating new and/or improved product offerings for diversified businesses. Manage product development staff, including projects, priorities, and regular updates. Partner with Sales management for each business to ensure alignment of development activities and priorities. Utilize technical expertise to leverage suppliers to aid in product development/innovation where appropriate. Partner with sales, observe and survey product opportunities at customer locations, as well as provide technical expertise. Practice good laboratory safety techniques and reinforce with staff. Provide continuous improvement through product and process evaluation to improve product performance. Participate in RCRA, regulatory, health & safety and process training activities as required. Review changes/additions with your supervisor. Must be RCRA compliant. Uphold Standard of Excellence through a continuous commitment to maintain quality facilities and provide quality products and services to internal and external customers Collaborate with the Tech. Services team to ensure a successful commercialization process. SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide an atmosphere in the lab that fosters collaboration, teamwork, innovation, profitable growth & customer satisfaction. Cross-train individuals to learn multiple types of product development. Support effective and constructive communication with all departments.
