Qualifications

â?¢

B.S. Engineering, or equivalent, preferably Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil

â?¢

Significant experience working in the US municipal water and wastewater equipment industry with a strong overall knowledge of treatment, collection, and distribution processes, equipment, and systems - including a basic understanding of control systems

â?¢

A broad understanding of general engineering principles, especially fluid dynamics, with an understanding of design principles for assigned products

â?¢

Responsibilities

â?¢

Work with Regional Sales Managers to develop local strategies and initiatives to drive business development

â?¢

The Product Manager is responsible for overall business development, but not responsible for managing distributors and does not have individual account responsibility

â?¢

Work with the Sales Channel providing technical support on key sales opportunities, technical support and risk assessment on complex applications, and training on products and tools

â?¢

Work with marketing to develop marketing plans, campaigns, and messaging, develop marketing material such as brochures and presentations, publish case studies, publish technical papers and articles, coordinate local launch activities, and assure catalog data, sales tools, and pricing tools are up-to-date, accurate, and deployed

â?¢

Monitor and document local market and technology trends as well as local competition with respect to market performance, product portfolio, and product performance identifying strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats (SWOT)

â?¢

Identify areas of development needed to improve competitive position and communicate to Global Product Management to help drive product development in support of local needs

â?¢

Champion product and brand visibility in the marketplace by proactively participating in industry technical meetings, conferences, workshops, trade shows, and association events

â?¢

Monitor and document local product financial performance metrics such as inquiries, orders, hit-rates, sales, and profitability - accountable for product line financial performance

â?¢

Support engineering teams during the applications, sales, and order fulfilment phases to assure products are properly specified and applied - accountable for product line technical performance

â?¢

Provide technical support during startups and service, proactively providing leadership to assure technical problems are quickly resolved

â?¢

Monitor product quality and work with engineering, operations, and Global Product Management to resolve and prevent quality related issues
