Financial Business Systems Analyst with Hyperion Essbase and financial system background.
This person should have led design meetings and speak directly between the business and technology.
The Financial Business Systems Analyst will analyze existing processes, recommending and designing ways to make processes more efficient for the financial management, planning, budgeting and reporting processes for the Company.
He or She will solicit requirements from end users and convert the requests into a workable solution and communicate to technologists and developers.
The supported applications use Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio and Hyperion Essbase and Essbase 11.1.2.3.500.17 running on Oracle 9i/10g/11i.

Responsibilities:

Serves as an Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) financial business system analyst for several EPM applications.Analyzes business ideas to enhance existing or create new functionality or systems to support needs and presents recommendations.
Improves existing systems by studying current practices, recommending improvements and designing modifications and transition activities.
Designs new applications by analyzing requirements, constructing workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities and writing business / technical specifications.
Prepares needs assessments and cost/benefit analysis to align technology solutions with business strategies.
Understands and can analyze the relationships of business data, systems and business processes to design, re-engineer or assist in troubleshooting issues quickly and efficiently.
Translates technical questions into common business language and vice a versa.
Recommends and enables best practices solutions.
Knowledge and Experience Requirements:Minimum five (5) years of prior related experience is required, preferably with hands-on design work for Hyperion Essbase.Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server - SQL Queries or other SSIS packages.Must be knowledgeable with financial reporting, analytics, and accounting concepts.
Experience with data management and data processing flowcharting techniques.Strong understanding of both financial and operational processes.
Proven track record providing exceptional customer service and end user support by resolving technical problems.
Proficiency with Process Design and Business Process Re-Engineering.Knowledge of ERP Systems and data integration with Hyperion required.
The candidate must have strong communication (oral and written) and relationship building skills.
The candidate must demonstrate through prior work engagements, the ability to identify and implement change, complete work assignments on schedule, triage multiple issues simultaneously and transform related programs across multiple organizations and functions.
Formal Education & CertificationB.S Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, or IT discipline.
Master's degree a plus.Proficiency in Essbase, Hyperion FR, Hyperion Shared Services, (FR and ODI a plus).
Advance proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel.
Must have some knowledge in automation and SQL, advance knowledge a plus.
J.D. Edwards knowledge a plus.
Applications / Versions - Experience with this combination of software highly desired.
