Role:Director, IT & DevOps Location:Redwood City, CA About the Role As Director, IT & DevOps, youll grow and scale our technology platform through development of a great team and facilitation of best-in-class processes. With your expertise in global infrastructure, security and system administration, your team delivers exceptional service to its customers. You coordinate the teams efforts, including oversight of the IT project portfolio and ongoing incident response management for supported systems. You drive the DevOps process strategy and implementation in close collaboration with our Engineering teams. You manage desktop, infrastructure, security and applications, managing end-to-end support of production, development and disaster recovery environments. You are instrumental in the development of IT policies and procedures, drawing on your experience from both private and public companies. You collaborate with other functions on the identification and assessment of function-specific technologies and needs. You lead by example, taking a hands-on approach to accomplishing the teams goals. have 10+ years of experience in IT, 7 of which were in a leadership role, plus an advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering. Experience in a medical device or biotech company is a plus. You bring expertise with the network protocol stack, switch and firewall configurations and various monitoring tools. You have experience administering Windows/AD, Unix and Linux systems, as well as backup and storage technologies, and are well versed in developing and implementing disaster recovery plans. With a strong understanding of capacity planning and service scalability, you plan for the future and apply smart resource allocation.
