Director, Information Technology Loc : Dallas/Fort Worth TX

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a counselor and catalyst for identifying existing and emerging areas of technology improvements that result in operational efficiencies, increased productivity and revenue growth.
  • Guidance of internal / external design application resources and the business analyst in the development of impactful software solutions.
  • Deeply understand the process flows and different customer needs of five sales channels to develop efficient solution designs.
  • Staff guidance and support as they drive the ?? Sprint / User project prioritization and the project management of the IT portfolio.
  • In conjunction with internal staff and external partners, develop and publish plans for: server and network capacity, performance monitoring, hardware/software requirements, disaster recovery, telecommunication and traffic analyses.
  • Own and nurture strategic IT vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and guide relationships to the financial and service benefit of .
  • Develop and cultivate partnership-oriented relationships with Senior Management, Management and business users, working as a ??partner.? Work closely with these groups to deeply understand their process flows, and communicate the ??IT vision.?
  • Lead and motivate a team of professionals focused on providing a high level of customer service, reliable infrastructure, and application services to both the internal and external customer.

Qualifications

Education:

  • BA or BS in Management Information Systems or Computer Science required. Masters degree a plus.

Experience

  • Ten or more years in an IT role, with three or more years of experience in managing other IT staff as the number one or two leader within an organization of 50-250 users.
  • Three or more years directly driving application modifications and/or overseeing a team modifying an ERP system such as Microsoft Dynamics/Navision, Great Plains, Lawson, Peoplesoft is required.
  • Manufacturing, distribution or general warehouse environments are a strong plus.
  • Career path through application development, application design/solution architecture or business analysis is required.
  • Experience with supporting or overseeing the support of an e-Commerce website required.
  • Demonstrated capabilities as a strategic thinker, experience in building annual IT plans and budgets.
  • Experience managing and coordinating outsourced IT partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly assimilate and comprehend the business area applications in the systems employed throughout the organization, serve in a consultative role providing conceptual problem solving approaches and well-designed solutions, gaining results through efficient and timely execution.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to present a solid business case, form business partnerships, and frame issues from a wide variety of clients.
