Reporting to Client CIO, the Senior Director-IT Global Business Services will be responsible for Client’s business applications supporting Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, HR and R&D. The Senior IT Director of Global Business Services will also have responsibility for all Business Intelligence applications. This position will manage IT’s relationship with the business and will be a single point of contact for the appropriate Client’s business functions. The candidate must be creative and technologically bold. The right candidate will possess a mix of pragmatism, creativity, solid management skills and technical depth. Being the face of IT for Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, HR and R&D business functions. Manage Client business applications focused towards Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, HR and R&D. Manage Business Intelligence strategy, applications and projects. Manage a core application portfolio, make strategic decisions on technology solutions. Program management and project management of IT projects. Assist in developing strategies for hiring, training, development & succession planning. Oversee management and execution of application projects. Collaborate on the integration of physical and application architecture through close teamwork with software architects, application developers and operations teams. Responsibility for defining and managing the change management process related to both hardware and software in the production environment. Document technical environments, processes and procedures, testing plans, project plans. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and services that will help Client maintain its technical edge. Leading and managing a team of up to 20 technical employees in multiple locations and countries. Interact with IT vendors, external suppliers and other contractual partners to ensure procurement. Negotiate with IT vendors for better rates and competitive service level agreements. Collaborating effectively and leveraging resources from within the Client organization for application support and technology operations support. Providing resource management to major initiatives by forecasting resource demands with functional areas, coordinating the staffing of infrastructure programs/projects with managers, and providing work direction and coaching. A minimum of 15 years of experience in the technology profession focused on IT application design and development. A minimum of 8 years program and project management experience, including estimating and forecasting, budget and financial management, staffing / hiring and resource management. Managing a mature SAP environment is required, especially PP and MM modules. A minimum of 10 years of Business Intelligence experience is required. Proven track record of managing IT/business relationship and interacting with senior business executives. Experience in managing projects using external and internal resources. Proven ability to translate business requirements into solutions that map to technology capabilities. Ability to provide cross-functional leadership to ensure project objectives and deadlines are met. Experience implementing software development practices including environment creation, continuous build processes, QA environments, and release cycles. Working knowledge in a variety of software development concepts including object-oriented programming, service oriented architectures, application frameworks and system integration methodology. Understanding of how application development and business organizations use infrastructure. Analytical problem solving and fact finding skills. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills. Ability to identify, clarify and resolve project activity issues and risks as needed. Experiences across both application development and IT infrastructure services / operations desired. Experience with technology architecture and platform integration is required. Understanding of the SDLC and service management / operations required including business process analysis, requirements analysis, application and architecture development, IT operations deployment and IT operations management. Prior vendor management experiences of value. Relevant Bachelors degree required.
