Location:New York, NY
Responsibilities:
  • Provides a disciplined approach to project management utilizing PM standards, methodologies and tools
  • Develops and maintains project plans with accurate estimates of effort and duration required to meet project deliverables using Microsoft Project Responsible for managing project scope, schedules, and change management.
  • Owns project communication to project team, stakeholders and leadership, including status reporting, issue and risk management.
  • Produces timely and clear meeting minutes to document project decisions and tasks.
  • Manage project budget and actual spend.
  • Maintains project documentation library Works closely with implementation team to direct and coordinate activities.
  • Coordinate with project team to ensure the consistent use of project management methodologies, guidelines and procedures
  • Provide customers, the project team and supervisors with written and verbal communications, including project status reports, presentations, financial tracking, issues and risks status.
  • Manages sign-off process and obtains all approvals required for projects under their control Identifies potential bottlenecks, puts processes in place to prevent their occurring and mitigate their impact should they occur
  • Escalates to management when necessary to prevent delays, budget overages and scope creep.
  • Coordinates quality assurance strategy, planning, testing and metrics to ensure quality solutions are delivered on time, within budget and meet customer needs.
  • Owns creation and execution of cut over plan Manages data conversion effort Manages system integration and interface creation efforts with technical team.
Experience Requirements:
Essential Qualifications:
  • Ten (10) years functional experience with Human Capital Management Systems (Oracle HCM/People Soft), Benefits and Payroll modules or related systems.
  • Time and Attendance system (Work Brain/Infor) a plus.
  • 6 or more years of formal project management responsibility with increasing complexity, demonstrating leadership skills and managing technical staff and financial resources through various life-cycle phases (cross functional experience highly desirable)
  • Successful development and implementation of applications in new computing architecture environments using new and emerging technologies
  • Demonstrated competency in managing resources to meet project goals Development of efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems
  • A Bachelors degree in Business (or Management), Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Formal project management training/certification (e.g., Project Management Institute- Project Management Professional (PMP)) is strongly desired.
