  • Information TechnologyKey Goals & ObjectivesThe Sr. Director, Information Technology is instrumental in the overall growth of The Leading Hotels of the World.
  • This position is vital for the success of business-critical programs and the successful incumbent willProvide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives across all departmentsand regions.
  • Direct the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems in support of business operations to improve costeffectiveness, service quality, and business development.
  • Create and maintain strategic partnerships with all levels of senior management.
  • Drive best practice business change through effective governance, standards, assurance, tools and expertise.
  • Key Responsibilities IncludeStrategy & PlanningParticipate in strategic and operational governance processes of the business organizationLead IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, andcoordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organizationIdentify opportunities for cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems and resources, including staffing,sourcing, purchasing, and in-house developmentAssess and communicate risks associated with IT investmentsDevelop, track, and control the information technology annual operating and capital budgetsDevelop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiativesAcquisition & DeploymentFacilitate consultation with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementationsParticipate and advise, as part of the IT Governance Process, in the approval, prioritization, and control of projects and theproject portfolio as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major information systemsReview hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts and pursue master agreements to capitalize oneconomies of scaleDefine and communicate corporate plans, policies, and standards for the organization for acquiring, implementing, andoperating IT systemsOperational ManagementEnsure continuous delivery of IT services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of ITsystems performanceEnsure IT system operation adheres to applicable laws and regulationsPromote and oversee strategic relationships between internal IT resources and external entities, including vendors, andpartner organizationsManage project risks and issue management processes; ensures that there is a robust process for tracking and reportingrisks and issues and that program-relevant risks and issues are communicated and managed appropriatelyHelps develop improved project management skills through consultancy, assurance, training and interventionRequirements & Experience7-10 years of relevant experience leading technology initiatives and teams, both internal and externalHospitality Experience Is a Plus But Not RequiredSuccessful experience executing systems maintenance and integrations projects including products such as CentralReservation Systems, Accounting software ( Great Plains), Salesforce.com, CRM platforms, and other third party vendorspreferred.
  • B.S. in MIS, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or relative work experience is required.
