Location:San Francisco Bay Area

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, assess, plan, and implement, in partnership with enterprise business teams, the next generation of ERP and surrounding technologies that will support the needs of our evolving business.
  • Seek opportunities for business process improvement through the introduction of new technology solutions that will enable streamlined operations within.
  • Define roadmap for enterprise technology implementation, estimate and manage enterprise IT budget, and drive IT planning and governance processes accordingly.
  • Working with independence, oversee a wide variety of projects and activities of varying size and scope.

Provide full range of end-to-end project management/delivery services:

  • Research and identify solutions
  • Define project scope and objectives
  • Ensure business requirements are effectively surfaced and captured
  • Create and maintain project schedules
  • Estimate time requirements, establish deadlines and monitor milestone completion
  • Lead project teams to complete project deliverables and track progress against deadlines
  • Meet with appropriate personnel for periodic reviews of prototypes and final products
  • Communicate and report on project status
  • Facilitate issue resolution in a timely fashion, removing roadblocks for project team to meet project objectives.
  • Elicit detailed solution requirements using interviews, document analysis, surveys, site visits, business process analysis and use cases;
  • Prepare requirements documents, ensuring traceability, and shepherd requirements through the design and implementation processes.
  • Identify vendors, coordinate demos and guide decision-making process.
  • Collaborate with internal and external technical resources, as well as subject matter experts, to establish the comprehensive technical vision for a solution.
  • Manage expectations of project stakeholders effectively through formal and informal communication.
  • Coordinate the creation of end user and support staff training materials.
  • Ensure the successful completion of system testing prior to go-live, including results.
Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree in Information Technology preferred.
  • PMP or other professional certification valuable but not required.
  • Minimum 10 years direct IT experience in roles of increasing responsibility in project/program management, business analysis, or other delivery leadership roles within a life sciences IT organization.
  • Experience managing delivery of an ERP implementation (new installation or upgrade).
  • Knowledge of key financially and operationally regulated business processes within the life sciences industry.
  • Comprehensive business understanding of Finance and Operations functions within a life sciences organization.
  • Significant experience implementing SaaS packages and other software solutions to support regulated business processes.
  • Effective at working autonomously and delivering through a diverse network of vendors and delivery partners.
  • Significant experience managing small to midsize IT consulting vendors and contract delivery resources for technology initiatives.
  • Solid project delivery achievements; demonstrated ability to manage issues and risks collaboratively and respectfully.
  • Proficient use of MS Office and other project management and business analysis tools.
  • Ability to communicate complex technology concepts to executive management and the user community in a way that is connected to business objectives.
  • Excellent influence skills and ability to collaborate with senior executives as well as more junior team members.
  • Strong customer orientation; highly collaborative; positive and energetic; detail oriented; skilled at managing multiple initiatives and priorities successfully.
