Responsibilities Analyze worldwide data to determine opportunities to increase inventory turns, improve customer and supplier service levels and reduce total supply chain costs. Interface with worldwide Operations, Purchasing, Finance, Marketing, Product Management and Sales teams to co-ordinate market intelligence data with historical data to create forecasts. Forecast and trend calculations to ensure availability of materials on time and in sufficient quantities to meet market specific requirements, as well as, increase forecast accuracy and reduce safety stock inventory value. Review inventory parameters and calculations for material planning to drive continuous improvement. Identify, define and make recommendations for material planning initiatives. Pursue, monitor and manage the development of inventory levels, including identification of reducing inventory opportunities, as well as, customer and supplier fill rate increases. Extract information from several spare parts inventory databases in useable format using query programming skills. Trend calculations to ensure market specific requirements are met Ensure appropriate records are kept to satisfy requests for historical information Required Bachelor Degree from four-year College or University in Business Administration, Supply Chain and Logistics, or Engineering. Preferred two plus years experience in Material Supply Planning. Demonstrated knowledge of Supply Chain Management from supplier through final assembly. Preferred APICS certification. Must be organized, demonstrate flexibility and be a team player. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel and Access applications, database and data warehouse management and ERP structure knowledge (AS400 and Oracle). Programming experience desired. Solid understanding of supply chain operations, especially inventory control, planning, forecasting and scheduling. Strong oral and written English language skills are mandatory; any other language would be an asset. Ability to work under pressure, as well as, hands on job attitude (do it now).
