The HR Generalist will assists in the administration of policies relating to all phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties: Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assist in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures & training and development opportunities. Responsible for the effective development, coordination and presentation of training and development programs for all employees. The programs would include but are not limited to human resources, safety and supervisory development. Will partner with HR Director to assess property-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives. Identify and arrange suitable training solutions for employees. Responsible for searching, creatively designing and implementing effective methods to enhance performance and recognize performance. Monitors performance management program. Assists with talent acquisition process, i.e. job posting, interviewing/selection, and on-boarding. Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. Answers employee questions and resolves issues regarding company policies and procedures. Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention. Conduct and/or coordinate workplace investigations. Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization. Work effectively as a team member with other members of management and HR Staff. Desired Skills and Experience BS/BA in Human Resources or closely related field. SPHR/PHR a plus. Knowledge of federal, state and local employment, wage and salary laws and regulations. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus. Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office. Experience with Workday a plus. Effective public speaker. Ability to manage extreme detail and produce error-free work under pressure. Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and sensitive information in HR. Skilled in complex problem solving, judgment, critical thinking and decision making. Minimum of 5 years experience in Human Resources with min of 1-2 years with responsibilities in training and development.
