Job Responsibilities
In a strategic role, manages assigned Plexus resources: space, equipment and personnel
Manage the design and execution of inventory control processes that are responsive to changing customer demands while continually improving efficiency and inventory accuracy
Mentor staff within and outside the department on proper inventory control procedures
Performs job interviews and makes hiring decisions
Conducts performance improvement counseling and makes termination decisions
Completes performance assessments and makes recommendations regarding compensation and promotion
Anticipates change and responds by re-designing existing processes. Executes change in a mannger that includes support from employees in affected functional areas
Responsible for the execution of the site's perpetual inventory procedures in accord with Plexus specifications
Has intimate knowledge of material control processes and transactions and can perform said transactions when needed. This requires a high level of ability with various Plexus systems used to manage materials and production. These systems may include but are not limited to: JDE One World, Warehouse Management System, GSF, DSI, DCS, DTS, among others
Develop objectives and use metrics to provide monthly progress reports that increase employee awareness and motivation
Responsible for the accurate recording of material movement transactions in the company's ERP system: JDEdwards
Ensure site material movement activities meet Plexus documented policies and guidelines for safety, accounting, and SOX
Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated 5%)
Additional duties as assigned by management
Skills & Abilities
Experience managing a staff of 15+ associates that include supervision is preferred
A sound understanding of inventory control processes is required
Possesses the ability to work independently and in a team environment
Education & Experience
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations, or other related fields or equivalent experience is preferred for the position; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred
Experience of 5 years is required for this position, assuming educational requirements are met. Equivalent industry experience of 5 or more years is highly desirable
