Responsibilities
- Design and support the database and table schemas for new and evolving sources of data brought into the data warehouse Create and support
- The ETL to facilitate bringing data into the data warehouse using SSIS or other technologies
- Create and support analysis services cubes to help with query performance
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues on the data warehouse servers
- Define and promote the teams design principles and best practices for data warehousing architecture and techniques
- Research and promote new tools and techniques to shape the future of the data warehouse environment
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- Five years of experience with SQL Server T-SQL coding Three years of experience with SQL Server Database Administration, Integration Services (or similar ETL tool)
- Analysis Services and MDX Query Language
- Three years of programming experience (i.e. VBScript, .Net)
- Strong understanding of dimensional modeling and other data warehousing techniques
- Strong performance tuning skills
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and quickly resolve issues
- Strong communication skills
- Passion to research new tools and technologies
