Job Summary:
  • The Health Care Business & Data Analyst is a consultative technical position, working with large enterprise customers for implementation of data management solutions for the healthcare industry.
  • We are looking for applicants who can partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders on every phase of development from requirement specifications to system design, development, testing and roll out.
  • Key ResponsibilitiesBring subject matter expertise and work experience to support the creation and delivery of complex health care focused data management solutionsPlan and facilitate workshops with internal and external stakeholders to capture data management.
  • Objectives and requirementsDefine and document data management policies and procedures, standards, and metrics to support a Data Governance programEstablish data quality processes and compliance with master data standards for data domainsDefine data quality remediation requirements including standardization, de-duplication and data harmonizationWork with Data Architects to define and maintain data model for MDM and Analytics solutions.
  • Design and build a data inventory including field definitions, on to logies, taxonomies, list of values (LOVs), mappings and data relationshipsCollaborate with business process owners, data producers and data consumers to get an understanding of current processes and systems that has a direct impact on the quality of the enterprise dataAssist with validating the operational data integration solution against the requirements and solution design.
  • Generate technical documentation of requirements, high level solution architectures, data flows and integration mappings

RequirementsRequires:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer engineering, health informatics, mathematics; or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned workMinimum of 8 years of experience in enterprise data management including business data modeling, data quality assessments, data validation & cleansing and data integration flow design.
  • Strong Healthcare background - across provider, payer, product and/or servicesExperience gathering business requirements and helping transform them into implementable solutions.
  • Experience with data standards like HL7, CDISC, IHE, EDIDemonstrated ability to use problem solving and analytical skills to build fact-based business casesAbility to query and analyze data from RD BMS data stores, No SQL, Document stores, flat files, etc.Excellent documentation skills using MS Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPointComfortable participating on multiple client-serving teams in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience with master data management (MDM) for patient, provider and pay or hierarchiesGood understanding of data regulations and compliance requirements for healthcareCandidate should be willing to travel on business as neededOther Desired ExperienceExperience in Data Management tools for managing metadata.
  • Experience in complex business logic and decision analysis.
  • Experience with ETL, Data Profiling, MDM toolsAny Data Management, Data Quality or MDM certification(s).
  • Experience with Data Modeling tools like ER win, Visio, ER/Studio, Oracle Designe.
