School Health Nurse

The School Health Nurse will provide comprehensive school health services to assigned Wayne County Public Schools. The School Health Nurse provides case management for students with special health care needs or chronic health conditions and management of acute health needs when on site. This nurse will serve as resource personto school personnel regarding studet health issues, and develop implement, and present school health education programs.

Minimum qualifications

· Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Caroina required

· Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred

· Current National School Nurse Certifcation or certification must be obtained within 3 years

· Previous School Health/Public Health (Child Health Program) experience preferred

· Minimum of three years nursing experience required

· Pediatric/Adolescent nursing preferred

· Case management experience preferred
