Position Summary
The Sr. Business Objects Systems Analyst is responsible for developing reports and dashboards in our business intelligence reporting environment as well as coordinating with the corporate IT team on ETL and Universe design. The analyst assists with project planning, provides technical input on design and solution development, and implements reports and dashboards. The analyst may be assigned one or more complex tasks on a daily basis.


 


Essential Job Functions
• Drive the creation of ETL, Universes, and reports that will meet the needs of internal clients and align to their web site goals and objectives.
• Work with internal clients to understand and define reporting requirements.
• Work with corporate development team to ensure BI data meets the internal clients’ needs.
• Perform basic analysis of metrics and provide guidance, insights based on data and trends .
• Document reporting requirements and define report template and dashboard specifications.
• Build dashboards, automated reports and report templates.
• Works on multiple assignments concurrently, and completes work in queue by aggressive due dates.
• Participates in support, deployment of production releases, and introduction of new services into production environment. 
• Help identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities. 
• Assist in making assigned projects delivered within time and budget.
• Manage multiple and changing priorities on a daily basis.
• Take responsibility for own work and provide support to others in accomplishing their work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.


 


Technical Skills
• SAP Business Objects XI 3.1, 3.2, 4.x
• Knowledge of SAP Data Services/Data Integrator
• BOBJ Web Intelligence Reporting platform
• Languages: SQL, Java, scripting languages
• Databases: MS SQL Server 2008 R2, DB2
• OS: Linux, Windows

Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience required, preferably in a related field.
