SUMMARY:

  • Assists in maintaining good manufacturing practices (GMP), ensures product specifications are met, and assists in maintaining the overall food safety of product.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIE

  • Sinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned at management\'s discretion.
  • Maintain accurate records to assure consistency of product quality, compliance to regulatory agency requirements and documentation of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) process.
  • Maintain accurate records regarding product/process capabilities, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) situation and HACCP.
  • Monitor (GMP\'s), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP\'s) and Critical Control Points (CCP\'s).Must be able to learn all areas of the Quality Assurance Department
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required. A two year or higher college degree is preferred.
  • One or more years experience in meat processing, or closely related industry is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents in the English language such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
