ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNT ABILITIES:
Responsibilities
- Works with the business teams to define requirements and translate those into logical database designs, consistent metadata while ensuring accuracy and reporting flexibility.
- Creating, documenting, and maintaining ETL specifications including workflow dependencies ensuring data quality.
- Monitor and communicate time lines for all ETL tasks whether new, enhancements, error handling or infrastructure related.
- Work collaboratively with the entire Data Warehouse team to ensure priorities are understood.
- Reviews the current state and maintains a high level vision of how the Data Architecture performs.
- Suggests new approaches or architectures that might be warranted. Handles day to day support issues.
- Works closely with the businesses to understand how key data and metrics might remove the need for internally built applications.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for: Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures including World Wide Business Standards.
- Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.
- 10 years IT related experience with 5-7 years directly involved in building, extending and maintaining a Data Warehouse Data Architecture.
- Hands-on knowledge of Data Modeling and ETL tools.
- Closely involved with the day to day operations of the Data Warehouse or Marts with trouble shooting and error recovery responsibilities.
- Hands on experience with Informatica Power Center 9.x.
- Use of modeling tools, preferably Erwin.
- Familiarity with BI reporting tools, preferably Micro Strategy.
- Bachelor Degree or related experience.
