E-Commerce Customer Development Representative Location: Cedar Rapids, IA

Responsibilities
  • This person generates sales opportunities by offering value added solutions to perspective commercial and industrial businesses.
  • This includes qualifying leads and prospects by initiating contact with market-generated leads captured by phone, Internet, event activities, and direct mail.
  • This person is also responsible for responding to online customer inquiries, closing profitable online sales orders, and aiding in the processing of orders placed online.
  • Assuring online Customers\' needs are met, following through on commitments to deliver required information, and proper communication of customer\'s needs to employees who are fulfilling the e-commerce orders.
  • Primary DutiesUse extensive telephone and e-mail communication to convert business-to-consumer leads into business-to-business accounts, and sales.
  • Service and support leads for E-business through various media and resources.
  • Navigate prospect company culture and identify key decision makers within the company.
  • Communicate with the decision makers the key benefits of doing business with Crescent Electric Supply Company.
  • Act as primary point of contact managing inbound and outbound prospect phone calls coming into our Ecommerce department.
  • Secure an adequate number of qualifying leads to fill the sales funnel and provide viable targets for the CISS account managers.
  • Document and update the result of each call in customer relation management database.
  • Respond to online customers\' emails and phone calls.Sell products and services, offer add-on and up-sell products that may benefit the customer, and suggest alternative products when a customer-requested product is not available.
  • Execute sales effort in an ethical and professional manner that will reflect favorably on the reputation of the company.
  • Assist and resolve customer requests and/or problems in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Work with e-Commerce team to maintain proper product and website content.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Bachelor\'s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or two to three years related experience and/or training\' or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Must process strong PC skills.
  • Must have the ability to work quickly and accurately within time constraints and against deadlines.
  • Ability to overcome objections.
  • Must process interpersonal skills, organizational skills, be a self-starter, detail oriented and have the ability to multitask and to communicate (verbal and written).
  • Knowledge of electrical distribution, product applications, and sales experience preferred.
