  • The E-commerce Manager provides the merchant vision with respect to the merchandising of the companya??s websites.
  • We are looking for someone with a passion for retail and the ability to drive sales in a fast-paced environment.
  • This position will manage the e-commerce team and presents a great opportunity to develop and grow multi-channel sales.
  • This individual will be responsible for managing presentation, driving sales, directly overseeing the on-line merchandising of the companya??s websites.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Understands current trends, opportunities, assortment, competition and buyers vision by category of business and use this knowledge to properly categorize, merchandise and market product online;
  • Identifies unique, underdeveloped, emerging or new, products or categories, based on statistical analysis, competitive landscape, customer feedback, and web analytics.
  • Communicates to and works with company merchants to execute opportunities;
  • Works closely with various departments within the company to ensure that all consumer touch points and messaging are working and measured harmoniously;
  • Positions and presents products within the online store in ways that exceed expectations such as conversion, average order size, average order value, customer service demand and are additive to the overall brand positioning;
  • Supervises the digital marketing/e-commerce team to provide merchandising vision to email, search, and social campaigns;
  • Works with analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns to evaluate and improve future performance;
  • Develops merchandising calendar for website home and landing pages, navigation, special initiatives, item image, copy strategy, etc.;
  • Executes on-going competitive analysis as well as recommended strategies and tactics to improve our value equation to the customer;
  • Works to continually optimize the purchase and product interaction paths;
  • Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of all product launches, marketing campaigns and other customer interaction;
  • Provides leadership and individual developmental growth to employees in the department.

Knowledge and Job Requirements:

  • BA in Business, Marketing, Visual Merchandising or equivalent
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to see the big picture.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as team member.
  • Knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. This includes Microsoft programs such as Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience with web analytics tools.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong leadership, coaching, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
  • Proficient with MS Office

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Flexible, proactive and self-motivated with a positive attitude
  • Experience with franchise organizations.
  • Experience with Magento (web sales platform).
  • Experience with Marketing Optimization/Automation programs and CRM programs.
