Desired Skills and Experience Experience, skills, talents you will need: Minimum 3 years of UI/UX design experience Experience distilling complex problems into simple and engaging customer experiences for web projects Strong visual and interaction design experience Fluent in creating quick and dirty prototypes Experience building UI for responsive web experience (CSS/HTML) Expertise in developing information architecture, interaction models, customer flows, schematics, UI mocks, and visual design for products and services The ability to communicate interactions rapidly at varying levels of resolution Demonstrated comfort with an iterative design process that includes accepting and managing feedback and constructive criticism A proven track record of effective collaboration with people from diverse technical backgrounds Deep understanding of UI design practices Even better, you have a background in: Conducting customer research ranging from insight protocols to usability tests Developing interaction prototypes Data visualization design and implementation (e.g. D3.js) Biology or related fields good, genomics/bioinformatics better
