Job Description:
- As a team lead, the person in this position is responsible for directing and monitoring the work of team members.
- This includes instructing, directing and checking the work of other programming personnel.
- This leader is generally responsible for the achievement of operational status within time parameters and with acceptable cost and operating performance.
- Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and the form of desired results.
- Provide program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews.
- Perform complex systems analysis and programming tasks that require advanced techniques in the forefront of technology.
- Act as senior consultant for lower staff by providing technical advice and consultation on complex analysis and programming applications.
- Review and evaluate feasibility studies and prepare recommendations based on in-depth knowledge of the problem and capabilities of potential approaches.
- Provide analytical support in the conceptualization, development and implementation of multiple, interlinked systems and programs.
- Prepare complex cost analysis and justification for difficult systems and programming projects.
- Act as technical project leader for lower staff.
- Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Requires at least 8 years related experience.
- Has full technical knowledge of all phases of applications programming.
- Requires extensive knowledge of a wide range of programming languages.
- Must be expert at testing and debugging procedures.
- Must be able to resolve complex mismatches between user requirements and current application functionality.
- Requires excellent written and verbal communication.
- Must be expert at leading team projects.
