Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Ideal candidates have a strong background in Elasticsearch, AWS Cloud and technical consulting, and customer management
  • perfect candidate will have excellent customer obsession, deep experience working with Elasticsearch/Apache SOLR/Apache Lucene, preferably in large scale, distributed environments; and be very comfortable with networking and distributed architecture topics
  • You will have enthusiasm for digging deep and a flare for sharp technical communication, prioritization, and organization
  • Ability to dive deep into complex technical problems
  • Experience on AWS Cloud Computing
  • 4+ years within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS Cloud data analytics eco-systems
  • Experience with Elasticsearch Engineering

Responsibilities

  • The Tech Lead will provide technical leadership in the end to end design, development and delivery of technology-enabled applications, products and services
  • Responsible for meeting development schedules and delivering high quality solutions that meet technical specifications and design requirements
  • Lead the specification and software design phases of the software development life cycle
  • May manage the design and implementation of new software development and enhancement efforts and software testing with other technologists
  • Understand the platform technical and business roadmap and ensure that all initiatives are aligned with the roadmap
  • Design and develop technical solutions of new software development and enhancement efforts
  • Coordinate coding and unit testing phases of system development and facilitate Code Reviews
  • Approves domain solutions and executes changes in line with the implementation plan
  • Liaises with Senior Leadership on project, operational, and strategy risks and opportunities, along with corrective action plans when required
  • Manages delivery on all project and operational commitments, including quality and timeliness metrics
  • Coaches, mentors and delegates work to lower level professionals
  • In this role, you will support AWS Elasticsearch engineering, product, and operation
  • This will include working directly with some of our largest and most important business partners to identify and resolve issues, automating repetitive processes, and working closely with development and business teams
  • You will dive deep into code and logs, drive prioritization of operational issues, and become intimate with the architecture of our systems, while also deeply understanding customer use-cases and configurations
  • Good understanding of parallel system performance, efficiency and scalability measurement and analysis
  • Experience in characterizing, debugging and correcting performance issues in large scale distributed systems
  • Understanding of distributed systems in practice and their limitations
