Role: Senior Technical Analyst-Business Intelligence Location: Bloomington, MN
Responsibilities:Participate in design, implementation, tuning, support, maintenance of data warehouse, data marts, and Business Intelligence or other Reporting and Analytic solutionsSupport , enhance, govern BI standards and best practicesCreate and manage documentation of BI architecture (system specifications, operating procedures, installation instructions, process flows, architecture diagrams etc.)Application of communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of best practices related to the design, development, and deployment of business intelligence solutionsCoordinate and work with other technical staff to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures.Collaborate with business areas and data owners to maintain an enterprise level business analytics and data warehousing solutionEnsure high levels of security and application availabilityTrain and mentor BI team members or external resourcesLead improvement, standardization, and automation of BI processesHelp support diverse team of BI users, advising on BI solution design.Troubleshoot production issues, identify root cause and follow change management process to migrate fixesParticipate in 24x7 on call supportHelp to create and implement a long term storage and business continuity strategy including backup & recovery and data storage and archivingStay abreast of emerging BI technologies and trends in order to drive innovationOwn and support software upgrades and installations Candidates most successful in this role possess:Bachelor\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience, is requiredAbility to work effectively on multiple priorities with strict deliverable datesExperience working with a global team in multi-country/international applications or technology deploymentsAbility to demonstrate advanced knowledge of algorithms, programming structures, and numerical analysis preferred.2-5 years experience working on:Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) from both a functional and technical perspective.Oracle BI Applications (Financials, Supply chain, Procurement and spend and Manufacturing), Data Models and ETL process that is used for these applicationsConfiguring, developing and tuning prebuilt Informatica ETL applications and building customer ETLs to extend the functionalityDAC(Data warehouse Administration Console) including DAC server Administration and using advanced features like DAC task actions and heuristicsAdministration of OBIEE server process, Informatica server Process, DAC Server as well as administration of the AIX servers to clear logs, allocate appropriate resources etc.Providing efficient, high performing Data models based on technical requirementQuery performance improvements through SQL tuning, use of database Hints, indices, partitions etc.Experience in these areas is desired:OEM to monitor and analyze Database performanceOracle Exalytics, Summary Advisor and TimesTen functionalitySecurity model design and maintenance using Active Directory, Oracle Identity Management and OBIEEOracle Endeca Information Discovery functionality and integration methodologies with OBIEE and other sources
