Job Type: Contract

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of new business intelligence, reporting and dash boarding solutions and enhancement for existing software and reporting application systems, for multiple projects at a time.
  • Coordinate efforts between architecture, ETL development, metadata development, and report/dashboard development teams. Identify and analyze business needs versus existing applications and serve as the subject matter expert driving alignment through innovative solutions.
  • Additionally, develop system requirement specifications and technical design documents.
  • Execute unit and system integrated testing on system adjustments and programming changes to ensure viability and accuracy by creating test cases and carrying out peer review, identifying opportunities for maximum effectiveness.
  • Provide work estimates for report development and related activities.
  • Mentor and coach team members on best practices for design, development, trouble shooting, testing, and implementation.Conduct code and quality reviews of deliverables produced by the team.
  • Assist with managing of project and support resources, report status to functional managers as well as to project managers.SUPERVISION Assists team members as needed.
  • Provide specific and balanced feedback to team members.
  • Provide performance input on team members to managers.
Education/Training:
  • Bachelor'S. in Computer Science, related field or equivalent work experience required.
  • Required Experience: Minimum 5 years hands-on report development and/or metadata experience with Oracle Business Intelligence.Enterprise Edition.
  • Minimum 8 years experience in general IT.Minimum 5 years experience with business intelligence applications such as OBIEE, Hyperion, Crystal Reports, etc.
  • At least 2 years experience with TABLEAU developing reports and dashboard as well as with INFORMATICA 11.2.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated experience using OBIEE+, TABLEAU, INFORMATICA. Demonstrated experience designing, developing, implementing, and managing business intelligence reporting and related data warehousing solutions Must be proficient in Oracle 9i or greater, SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, TOAD (or similar tools used for database related development), UNIX, and UNIX scripting.
  • Need to have background in data warehousing and ETL.Must be able to communicate effectively to team members, peers, and management to ensure successful project and support results.
  • Demonstrated experience using structured SDLC methodologies.
  • Beneficial if candidate has experience with Discoverer or Oracle Application Express (APEX).
