ERP Manager - Peachtree City, GA

NOTE: The office is in Peachtree City and only looking for LOCAL candidates living within 30 minutes (i.e., in south metro ATL, probably Fayette or Coweta counties).


Job description

The ERP Manager ensures the availability of ERP applications and works with users to ensure  their best use.  This individual collaborates with departmental power users to define processes and support them with appropriate application configuration.  The ERP Manager works with the vendors to keep the applications current and to provide support for issues and enhancements.  This individual maintains strong relationships with the business, and translates business needs into technical solutions.  This individual works closely with local IT and with external system administrators managing the infrastructure.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage application support for ERP, warehouse other supporting applications.
  • Directly provide hands-on application support for the ERP system.
  • Work with external administrators to monitor data center resources, including servers, networking and security.
  • Ensure SQL database backup and disaster recovery.
  • Manage vendor application patches and fixes.
  • Work with vendor and other external resources for necessary consulting and project assistance.
  • Maintain a current test/development environment.
  • Monitor and tune application performance.
  • Maintain test enviroments for development and testing.
  • Participate on application implementation teams and provide necessary support.
  • Work with business super users to maintain process documentation.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer-related, engineering or other technicall field.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Six or more years working with computer technology.
  • Four or more years working with ERP applications.
  • Experience working with WMS or other shop floor applications.
  • Experience as implementation project team member.
  • Experience with client-server, application architectures.
  • Two or more years working with Microsoft SQL Server relational database.
  • Familiarity with the following business operational areas - accounting, sales, distribution, manufacturing.
  • Experience supporting end users both face-to-face and remotely using desktop sharing tools, etc.
  • Experience communicating to end users, vendors and managers, both written and spoken.
