Description:
We are in need of a SharePoint Developer for approximately twelve weeks beginning on September 2nd. This person will develop the SharePoint site(s) and provide knowledge transfer to site owners with respect to SharePoint upkeep and administration.
PURPOSE: Administration and development of the cloud-based Office 365 Sharepoint intranet environment. Builds and maintains effective information software applications that assist the company in minimizing administrative costs and maximizing information flow. ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Assists project managers in conducting fact-findings, which will result in the formulation and definition of the system scope and objectives for developing or modifying information software applications. • Performs quality applications testing to assure the delivery of a product that meets the user’s specifications. • Follows and adheres to company defined IT standards and procedures. • Creates accurate estimates for their unit of development. • Codes small to medium sized software applications as part of a team. • Executes basic unit/string test plans that others have established. • Documents own code with guidance from Sr. team members. • Demonstrates basic understanding of Project Management principles. • Demonstrates basic understanding of either life or annuity concepts. • Demonstrates understanding of individual role within member’s department and that department's function within IT. • Demonstrates ability to resolve routine software issues related to a single application. • Demonstrates good written and verbal communications skills. • Engages in a mentor relationship to build design, coding, estimating, and leadership skills. • Leads oneself by effectively managing time and prioritizing work to meet expectations. • Effectively handles and manages conflict within one’s team and with peers.
QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Systems Analysis or equivalent work experience.
EXPERIENCE: • Experience with development and configuration of the SharePoint 2013 environment. • Experience with at least two different 3rd party programming/development tools. • One (1) to two (2) years of Applications Development experience required. • Experience in the financial services industry is a plus. • Must have the ability to interpret detailed project specifications to develop program logic and code.
