Job Description

Position Summary:
This resource will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining applications on the SharePoint and Microsoft .net platforms. This individual should have a passion for software development & innovation and be capable of working with minimal oversight on enterprise projects and enhancing existing applications. The following job responsibilities would apply to this position:

• Provide technical leadership for the Information Services team for designing, coding, modifying, and evaluating Microsoft.NET and SharePoint solutions in support of the Client’s strategic objectives
• In conjunction with SharePoint Architects, identify key platform requirements for Extranet, Intranet, and enterprise-wide applications
• Devises logic and technical procedures
• Performs coding and tests/debugs applications and programs
• Develops conversion and system implementation plans
• Prepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation
• Builds solutions and perform maintenance that are technically efficient, effective, and follows internal and industry standards
• Performs Full Systems Life Cycle, (plan, design, develop, test, implement, and maintain) effectively
• Develops estimates and completes assignments on time and within budget
• Conducts research, advises on new technology, and evaluates alternative solutions
• Provides third level application support for portfolio of internal applications
• Effectively works in teams as well as independently
• Works with internal stakeholders and IS development team; minimal travel

Skill Sets Required:
• Deep knowledge of 2.0/3.5/4.0/4.5 .NET Framework, specifically C# and ASP .NET required
• Experience with designing and developing SharePoint based solutions a plus, or a desire to learn SharePoint development as this skill will be required in ever increasing degrees for this position
• Experience with Microsoft MVC Framework a plus
• Knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, and XML
• Services Oriented Architecture (Web Services, HTTP, REST) programming experience preferred
• Knowledge of Transact SQL (T-SQL) syntax and database development on SQL Server 2008 (or later) platform required
• Microsoft development related certifications a plus

Qualifications:
· 5 years’ experience developing web applications using .NET Framework, C#, ASP .NET, XML, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, and CSS
· For candidates without application development experience with the SharePoint Server platform, demonstrated ability to learn SharePoint development is a must.
· Strong communication and teamwork skills required
· 5 years’ of experience developing applications on the SQL Server platform using T-SQL, stored procedures and database functions
· Estimated Travel – potential of 1 – 2 overnight(s) per month associated with CPE, quarterly meetings, etc.
· Estimate an annual average of 5 to 10% overtime. Overtime will be required in order to meet critical deadlines.
