Job Description:

  • Direct and manage quality processes to meet short-term and long-term goals.
  • Apply the tools of quality to maintain quality control and guarantee quality assurance.
  • These include cause analysis, evaluation, process analysis, idea creation, planning, and implementation tools.
  • Apply gage repeatability, process capability, statistical process control, sampling, and statistical techniques to maintain and improve quality control and quality assurance.
  • Perform gage calibration(s) according to calibration schedule on standard plug and thread gages, along with variable gages, micrometers, and calipers standard metrology.
  • Analyze and recommend new technologies, methods, tools, and procedures to enhance the quality assurance and continuous improvement processes.
  • Assist in the development of a proper preventive and / or corrective action program interpreting current and future customers needs and quality program requirements.
  • Conduct periodic audits of corrective actions to ensure sustainment.
  • Determine the cost of quality and develop continuous improvement activities.
  • Assist in departmental leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives
  • Provide periodic summary reports to Executive Management.
  • Able to provide metrology and gage calibration of standard set plugs and ring gages.
  • Can perform level 3 PPAPs

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelors degree from an approved institution of higher learning and a minimum of 2 years experience in a quality position.
  • Associates degree from an approved institution of higher learning and 2-5 years experience in a quality assurance capacity.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in quality as well as related demonstrated skills and competencies.
  • Associates degree from an approved institution of higher learning and 2- 5 years experience in a quality assurance capacity.
