Responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following:
- Bachelor??s degree in Food Science or relevant discipline or equivalent related experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment in a USDA environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus
- Experience with HACCP and GMP??s
- Knowledge of food hygiene and sanitation processes
- Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:
- Inspection of production floor including HACCP and quality checks are performed
- Addressing all GMP violations with both production management and team members
- Review of QA books: Pest Control, Hold, Receiving, Cure Log, etc
- Organize customer and retained sampling program
- Train and develop all new and current QA technicians
- Select products for testing, perform weight control checks, assist with micro sampling testing and conduct HACCP and quality checks and documentation
- Holds monthly safety committee meetings and reviews all safety concerns
- Audits the plant for compliance with USDA regulations and review for compliance with GMP??s
