Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, analyze, troubleshoot and tune PL/SQL codeDesign, develop and implement complex database systems, programs and applicationOwn the development lifecycle and be responsible for managing technical risks throughout the project
- Performance tune PL/SQL stored procedures and packageCreate complex tables and views that can easily be related and understood by other analysts working with the data
- Technical documentation of table structures, views, diagrams and PL/SQL codeInteract with the other departments to understand and identify informational needs, problems and requirements and works with other members of the IT organization to deliver applications, data warehouse and custom reporting solutions to address those needsMonitor system utilization and recommend appropriate revisions to processes, procedures, and operations
- Maintain industry knowledge (both Casino and AppDev/DB/IT) so that suitable industry standards and best practices for database design, administration and application development are employed.
- Provide technical advice and consultationProvide timely project status and issue reporting to managementPerform complex data analysis and develop logical solutions to problems
- Provide non-business hour production Application, BI, EDW, SQL database, and PL/SQL support when necessary; be available for on-call duty as neededOther duties and responsibilities as assigned
- High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field RequiredOR seven (7) years of Oracle Technology experience developing, maintaining, and managing databases and PL/SQL code
- RequiredMinimum of five (5) years experience creating Oracle PL/SQL Packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers, tables and views
- RequiredMinimum of five (5) years experience ETL coding using PL/SQL
- RequiredMinimum of five (5) years experience with Oracle 10g or 11g
- RequiredPerformance tuning of SQL queries involving large tables
- Strong experience with Oracle SQL Developer or TOAD; in person demonstration will be requiredHands on experience with optimizing PL/SQL code and tables
- Excellent analytical / communication skills and good team playerOracle Certified Associate certification preferredSuperior verbal and written communication skills, with experience working with business, IT, and technical stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast paced ever changing environment; must work well under pressure
- Willing to work odd and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or requiredMust have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
- Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
