RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial Planning & Budgeting Assist in the coordination, preparation and on-going development of the annual budget and quarterly forecasting models. Analyze and assess reasonableness of budgets and forecasts.
- Maintain the detailed financial planning and reporting models. Monitor and perform monthly variance analyses and coordinate among operating departments.
- Track progress of actual company performance results against plan.[XG1] Analysis Analyze monthly and quarterly financial results and investment activity including written commentary.
- Monitor Investment Manager(s) compliance with the Investment Policy & Guidelines. Perform periodic Peer Group financial analyses. Prepare monthly and quarterly portfolio(s) performance analysis.
- Prepare cash flow analysis to ensure adequate funds are available to fund operation. Reporting Responsible for supporting information requests in support of external reporting (AM Best, Wards, Reinsurers, etc.).
- Work closely with accounting to provide input on management reporting needs and better understanding of actuals. Prepare cash flow and monthly financial and investment reports and review of investment compliance reports.
- Report management reports and dashboards. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of US SAP & GAAP rules and presentation standards preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially related to budgeting, planning and management reporting.
- Excellent analytical and modeling skills and a strong understanding of operational accounting and finance concepts like accruals, PO process, and variance analyses.
- Personal computer knowledge to include experience with Oracle Fusion, Oracle PBCS, and MS Office Suite software particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
